When we sow only one crop in a field again and again , it also reduces the crop yield and it also reduces the fertility of the soil. This is because many crops need less nutrients and some need more.
In addition, if the same crop is planted every time, the risk of disease to the crop also increases.
When we plant a crop that needs more nutrients once and a crop that needs less nutrients the second time, it will maintain the fertility of the soil.
Crop rotation plays a major role in agriculture. Along with the crop cycle there are many other things to keep in mind such as soil type, sowing site weather etc.
